POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Developer Reporting is responsible for the design, development, and support of any reports for the company. The incumbent shall manage customer relationships and ensure highest level of customer satisfaction and be accountable for the successful design, development, implementation, maintenance, continuous and reliable operation of CVR's reporting, supporting data and code.
This position will report to the Senior Manager Data Analytics and is focused on applications within the Oil and Gas domain.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or other related scientific or technical discipline required;
or demonstrated technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of progressive report development experience leading up to architect level work in a consultative and / or IT capacity.
- 8+ years of experience with applications / interfaces / data in the Oil and Gas domain.
- At least 10 years of demonstrated use of MS SQL (Tables, Views, Stored Procedures), Oracle SQL (Tables, Views, Stored Procedures), PostgreSQL and usage of TOAD tool or alike.
- Expert on Reporting technologies such as Power BI, SSRS, Business Objects, and data modeling in Tabular.
- Expert knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) language.
- Good aptitude in learning new and upcoming reporting and analytics tools.
- Experience with Integration technologies such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), sFTP, SSIS, & ODI.
- Knowledge of webservices such as SOAP, REST and Web API’s is beneficial.
- Experience in setting up B2B integrations is a plus.
- Basic understanding of XML, XSLT, XSD and XPATH.
- Demonstrated knowledge of functional and technical requirements specification writing.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of IT applications and database systems with ERP and non- ERP systems; knowledge of Oracle EBS, Maximo, Right Angle is a plus.
- Understanding of business processes and flow and how reporting relates and interacts with those flows.
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex reports.
- Maintain a high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.
- Fluent in English, oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adjust work schedule to meet business needs and objectives.
- Travel, as necessary.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Implement and maintain various reports and report technologies to support the organization's business needs.
- Gather requirements, design, and develop new reports, data models, or existing report enhancements.
- Help define and determine strategy for migrating legacy reporting to modern technologies.
- Work within the IT department to gather requirements and understanding of technical roadmap & strategy.
- Administer security for the reporting applications within the guidelines of CVR IT Security strategy.
- Perform and be involved with all testing cycles for projects and enhancements.
- Research and fix IT issues related to reporting.
- Collaborates with our partner organizations and vendors.
- As part of IT Team, address and resolve assigned ServiceNow / help desk tickets.
- Available to assist with monthly maintenance outages as needed.
- Available to assist on Disaster Recovery Projects.
- Assist on team initiatives ex. How-Tos; user training, business process flow; etc.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain documentation and process flows on reporting solutions in the enterprise.

- Maintain the Reporting Portfolio with clear definition of applications in Production, Staging, Test and Development, and current versions.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures within department.
