The Role

As the Director, User Experience and Designer Leader, you will define and drive the design strategy of a growing UX practice and TRG Screen’s transformation as a unified platform.

In this role, you will apply your passion for research, design and brand, while championing best in class organizational practices and methodologies to grow the overall design efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and guide the work of the team’s distributed UX designers.
• Champion user-centered design principles to create experiences that meet user needs and address business goals across focus areas.
• Transform ideas, feedback and business opportunities from multiple projects into reusable, scalable design system patterns and components that meet user needs.
• Identify design gaps throughout our portfolio, while anticipating future demands as the portfolio grows.
• Help build and champion our design system internally and across functions (style and pattern libraries, code components, use of css framework).
• Collaborate with key project team members, product managers, lead engineers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Lead the design of user interface and information architecture using iterative design techniques, customer interviews, usability testing, heuristic site evaluations, competitive site analysis and other forms of requirements discovery.
• Facilitate usability testing with internal and external users.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in : Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or other relevant field.
• Minimum 12-15 years professional experience as a practicing UX designer : Specific experience designing and managing design systems and multi-solution platforms;

internationalization, localization and accessibility is a plus.

• Strong portfolio of previous professional work with clear understanding of your role and contributions on each project.
• Strong demonstration of skill developing user flows, wireframes, sitemaps, user journeys.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Atlassian Jira & Confluence.
• Experience working with product owners to capture requirements and features in an Agile Scrum project management framework.
• Experience working with engineers to convey the technical behavior of the interface; technical proficiency in front end behaviors, ability to apply user experience best practices cross platform and regardless of device type.
• Can operate independently as a self-starter with a distributed team.
• Excellent verbal and superior writing / presentation skills are essential.

Preferred And Other Qualifications

• SaaS software design experience.
• B2B software experience.
• Knowledge of Financial Markets and Personas.
• Great communication skills in English (other languages a bonus) - both verbal and written.
• A desire to help customers achieve their business goals.
• An empathetic nature : curiosity for complex things and complex people - you love to ask "Why?".
• Ability to distill complex functionality into elegant user interface designs.
• A strong attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture.
• Experience with tools such as Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite, Atlassian Jira & Confluence.
• Bachelor’s degree in human Factors, HCI, Design, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science or related.
• 5+ years’ experience doing UX Design for SaaS software products.
• A portfolio of work and stories demonstrating how you've helped to create great UX for software products.
• A passion for thoughtfully designed products that people love to use.

Salary Range : $180,000 $200,000 USD
