MACHINING QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST $21+, DOE

  • 2+ years of industry-related experience is required

Duties :

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that all employees are aware of and given the means to meet the quality goals in QMS and to control or mitigate risk
  • Ensures that all QMS documented information is input, stored, and updated promptly
  • Collaborate with Estimating, Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Customers, as required to facilitate the estimating process
  • Performs part inspections and creates records thereof for internal purposes or to meet the reporting requirements of customers
  • Provides support and training in the use of inspection equipment for other employees
  • Communicate the findings of the QMS to all individuals in a way that furthers the quality goals of the business and customers
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • 2+ years of industry-related experience
  • 3+ years of inspection and quality control
  • Experience with PC-DMIS software and the operations of a DCC CMM
  • Be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaborate well with others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extensive experience with reading technical drawings and understanding of standards as they relate to the metal-working industry
  • A thorough understanding of GD&T principles is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations
  • A quality-based work ethic
  • A willingness to assert independent opinions on matters affecting the quality of products
