BASIC FUNCTION :
The supervisor position will provide direction, instructions, and guidance to the team and will assist the Manger - Consumer Loan Closing with daily tasks, communication and follow up with team members for various residential and consumer loan closing functions.
The supervisor position will require working with various lines of business. Fully knowledgeable of PowerLender and other systems that the LOB uses.
The supervisor will assist with problems and ensure that daily functions are being completed timely and in adherence to corporate policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Supervision of the Closing function for all mortgage loan products.
- The incumbent is responsible for the efficient and customer-oriented supervision of residential loans in accordance with regulatory compliance, investor requirements, Bank policies and procedural guidelines.
- In conjunction with business partners, insures the effective implementation of new products and services.
- Maintains effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Exercises the usual supervisor authority with respect to staffing, training, performance appraisal, and career development.
- Keeps abreast of changing economic conditions, market interest rates, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Review the post-closing audit function and discuss any trends, areas of improvements, etc. with Manager .
- Continually monitors process to facilitate change to reduce turn time, enhance the customer experience and maximize profitability
- Recommends to Manager changes to reduce identified weaknesses in lending policies and procedures
- Responsible for maintaining, and improving performance standards through ongoing review and training.
- Supervise a team for day-to-day activities and trouble shoot issues as they arise. Raise up concerns to the Manager as needed.
- Actively supports diversity in the workforce.
Experience :
5 years in the banking industry
Job Skills / Knowledge :
- Basic computer skills with ability to navigate different applications
- Prior supervisory experience managing fast paced, high volume servicing area (minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience)
- Detail oriented & ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills : ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress toward goals and track activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
