Production Coordinator - Louisville, Kentucky
$75,000. - $95,000. + Bonus
Job Description
A reputable metal manufacturing company in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a talented Production Coordinator to join their team.
This position will primarily focus on coordinating and planning the production schedule to ensure efficient operations and timely order completion.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing material loading and scheduling to optimize machine efficiency and maintain accurate inventory levels.
Scheduling Responsibilities :
- Ensure daily and weekly schedules are distributed and followed
- Balance inventory levels and machine orders for on-time and complete order completion
- Optimize weekly and monthly capacities by value stream
- Achieve on-time delivery goals and consistently meet customer needs
- Maintain inventory accuracy through best practices and regular cycle counts
Communication and Leadership :
- Effectively communicate all schedule changes to relevant personnel
- Maintain professional and efficient inter-company communication
- Positively influence all directions within the organization to achieve departmental goals
Process and Product Knowledge :
- Demonstrate knowledge of capacities, cycles, and bottlenecks for value streams
- Optimize performance by understanding material flow and product types
- Become the expert in scheduling and inventory systems to ensure customer needs are met
- Ability to handle backup work from other Production Coordinators
Continuous Improvement :
- Align actions with the department's vision, mission, and values
- Regularly utilize lean tools and daily management systems for problem-solving
- Utilize root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
- Actively seek opportunities to increase work efficiency and pursue continued education
Education :
degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience. Lean or Six Sigma training is a plus.
Experience :
Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing and / or supply chain.
