Job Title : Field Safety Manager in Asheville, NC
Location : Asheville, NC
Duration : 6 Months (Immediate Start)
Type : 1099 Contractor
Compensation :
- Hourly Rate : $45 / hr overtime after 40
- Per Diem : $175 / day (if >
50 miles from Asheville, NC)
- Completion Bonus : $150 / month
- Pay : Weekly
Schedule :
Hours : 7 days, 10-12 hours, 1st shift 72hrs / wk
Project Scope :
The Field Safety Manager will oversee safety protocols for Disaster clean-up, Hurricane Recovery, and loading / hauling debris-fundamental safety observations & reporting.
Travel expectations : All work is in western NC, primarily around Ashville, NC, down to the Tennessee border. The client covers any travel.
A company car will be provided if available; if not, they will provide gas / mileage reimbursement.
Qualifications :
- Certifications : Current OSHA 30
- Experince : 3+ years of safety and Must have experience with hurricane clean up or load / haul or debris
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required.
Knowledge : Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EHS standards,
Skills :
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with OSHA outreach training is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
