SLR International Corporation is seeking a mid to senior level Transportation / Civil Engineer to serve as an integral part of our design team in Maine.
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of state / municipal and private transportation and highway design projects throughout Maine and the northeast.
The candidate will be responsible for analysis, planning, design, permitting, as well as preparation of plans, specifications and technical reports.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of experienced and licensed engineers, landscape architects, planners, scientists, and other professional staff that will be supportive of their growth and development.
They will also have the opportunity to collaborate on exciting and significant projects using interactive and engaging tools to deliver quality work that has a positive and lasting impact on the communities in which we work.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (Maine preferred or ability to get reciprocity)
- Six to twelve years’ experience in Transportation Engineering required
- Demonstrated experience in federal, state (ME preferred), and local permitting processes
- Experience in managing small to large projects
- Demonstrated working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, knowledge of Microstation or interest in learning a plus

Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Manage small to large scale transportation engineering projects
- Provide oversight on projects and serve as a technical resource
- Perform analysis and prepare design calculations
- Prepare contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates
- Perform quality review of highway, civil and traffic design calculations and contract documents
- Participate in meetings with clients and project team members
- Assist in business development with MaineDOT and other public and private sector clients
Compensation Range :
The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $85, to $120, Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
