- You will be responsible for planning the patient care needed post op, including, spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs.
In the procedure room : * Learn / Continue : To assist with basic Endoscopy procedures such as Colonoscopy and EGD's.* Learn / Continue : To assist with more advanced therapeutic procedures that prevent patients from having surgery for mass removal and swallowing disorders, and other interventions that treat / diagnose common GI ailments such as reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, and removal of Colon Polyps.
Learn / Continue : To assist and administer moderate sedation.What you will need : * A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York* Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care* The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written* MINIMUM of 1 year of RN Acute Surgical / Endo experience required* BLS Required.
ACLS required (Can be provided during orientation)* Telemetry Training (Can be acquired during orientation)* On call availability 1 weekday night every other week.
