The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Supervisor IT Specialist Deputy Director (NH-2210-03) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the 75th Air Base Wing at Hill Air Force Base in Davis County, UT.

Leads unit or work center in all assigned activities. Structures assignments and reviews work of subordinates based on priorities and deadlines, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.

Assures that mission and accuracy requirements are met. Selects employees. Hears and resolves grievances and complaints.

Initiates and advocates appropriate corrective action for performance or conduct. Schedules and grants leave. Identifies training needs;

develops and implements training plans.Applies Equal Employment Opportunity principles and requirements to all personnel management actions and decisions, ensuring all personnel are treated in a manner free of discrimination.

Develops, modifies, and / or interprets performance standards.Explains performance expectations to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses.

Provides proper guidance and direction and holds employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments. Appraises performance within established Air Force guidelines and time frames.

Provides and advocates appropriate recognition and feedback for employee performance and contribution, using the full range of honorary and monetary awards.

Practices sound position management by periodically reviewing organization structures and functional assignments to ensure position descriptions are accurate.

Ensures education in and compliance with security directives and good safety and health directives in all work areas. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of a Security Forces Flight / Section, ensuring that personnel comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.

Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Represents the Security Forces Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Performs the full range of police officer duties within the military installation.Qcualifications : - U.S. Citizenship Required-Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and / or commercial aircraft-May be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

A four-year degree in a related field is recommended to include a minimum of 24 hours of accounting / accounting related fields.

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities : 1. Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of cyber, IT, or IM assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing cyber, IT, or IM projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.

Ability to lead and manage information systems planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance as well as ability to make decisions or recommendations that significantly impact important agency cyber, IT, or IM policies or programs.

2. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for the coordinated management of cyber, IT, or IM programs to include providing oversight of multiple projects, integrating dependent schedules and deliverables, and related activities such as life cycle management and program governance.

Ability to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services. Skill in applying new developments to previously unsolvable problems.

3. Knowledge of the principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage functional and infrastructure requirements;

includes translating functional requirements into technical requirements used for logical design or alternative technologies or approaches.

Ability to research and analyze external products to determine their potential for meeting mission requirements and business needs.

4. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and leadership techniques used to identify, engage, influence and monitor relationships with individuals and groups connected to cyber, IT, or IM work / development efforts.

Includes those who are actively involved, those who exert influence over the process and its results, and those who have a vested interest in the outcome.

Ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical cyber, IT, or IM issues as well as ability to work effectively with customers to assess their requirements then provide information, expertise, and assistance to satisfy those needs.

5. Knowledge of methods of leadership and supervision to hold others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results.

Ability to determine objectives, make sound, well-informed, and objective decisions, set priorities, cause change, and accomplish organizational goals.

6. Skill in leading productive teams and work centers. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of a unit and lead, mentor, motivate, and appraise subordinate staff.
