Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist with strong writing skills and attention to detail.

This position will support our environmental services for renewable energy, federal, transportation, power, industrial, and education clients from our Iowa City, Iowa office.

This member will support projects with a variety of clients and contaminants, including emerging contaminant (PFAS) investigations and cleanups.

Work will include visits to client sites throughout the country to collect environmental data and summarizing that data in comprehensive reports for our clients.

The position will require someone with good organizational skills and attention to detail to manage data, evaluate site conditions, write reports, provide quality control through data checks and editorial reviews.

Experience with commonly accepted field data collection methods, drilling and monitoring well installation, and

soil / groundwater / surface

water sampling preferred. Occasional overnight and weekend travel may be required.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an environmental science field (biology, geology, environmental engineering, natural resources, environmental planning, environmental management, or related field).
  • 10-15 years’ experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental investigation and cleanup processes (cost proposals, field planning, sampling, reporting, and remedial design)
  • Experience working with State and Federal agencies.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulatory programs.
  • Excellent technical writing skills. The successful candidate must be capable of summarizing investigation findings and field methods.
  • Strong communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with

scientists / engineers,

project managers, and clients in the execution of projects.

  • Organized, disciplined, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products.

Base Compensation

$85,000 - $100,000
