The candidate will be joining a team that brings decades of IT, infrastructure, and technology experience with a proven track record of building and growing highly successful businesses.

As the Vice President of Network Operations , you will report to the Chief Technology Officer and responsibilities will include conceptualizing and overseeing the design, implementation, management, and optimization of our fiber network infrastructure.

This key leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in ISP network engineering and operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy and Planning :

• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute the strategic vision for the FTTP / FTTH / FTTB network, aligning with the company's overall business goals.
• Work with the market development group to build and implement our network expansion plans and ensure the scalability of the technical infrastructure to meet future demand.
• Conceptualize and develop service improvements and new product ideas to further commercialize our world class fiber network.
• Conduct regular assessments of network capacity and performance to ensure scalability.
• Ensure responsible financial management for projects and teams including the establishment of capital and operational budgets.

Engineering Leadership :

• Provide strategic direction to the NOC Manager and Inside Plant Manager and assume overall accountability for the day-to-day operations of the network, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Manage a team of network engineers responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of the fiber network.
• Provide technical leadership in the evaluation and selection of network technologies and equipment.
• Work with OSP and Operations to coordinate construction and maintenance of our rapidly expanding fiber network.
• Develop standards, best practices, and implementation patterns for deploying and operating a best-in-class fiber network.

Vendor Management :

• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and service excellence.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to make informed vendor selections.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer support, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of network services.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in network engineering and operations, with a focus on fiber optic telecommunications.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading high-performing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of FTTP / FTTH / FTTB technologies, protocols, and standards.
• Experience with network design, implementation, and optimization.
• Experience working with vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing external resources.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Starting Pay is based on experience. This is an in-person full-time position located in The Woodlands, Texas. Relocation will not be provided.
