Software Engineer II / C++ Developer

Waltham, MA

Your Tasks :

The Software Engineer, C++ will design and develop contributions to Miltenyi's C++ global software library with a focus on contributions supporting the analysis instrument software (AISW) department.

This person will be responsible for interacting with AISW instrument project stakeholders to understand required features, designing the implementation of these features in coordination with the appropriate (cross-project) global SW Platform module team, and implementing the solution as part of an agile development team and according to the global SW development policies.

Such features could span different technical areas, including instrument control, data processing, communications, data management, etc.

The position will be based at Miltenyi's Waltham MA site and offer options for a flexible hybrid (partially remote) work schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Using C++ and other languages, develop and maintain world class software applications, platform components, and associated tools for the analysis instrument SW (AISW) department
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, commented code with unit tests.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies as a member of a cross-functional agile team.
  • Perform design reviews, pull requests in a GIT / C++ environment.
  • Develop high-quality software design and architecture.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years professional experience OR Master's degree and 2 years professional experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • C / C++ proficiency.
  • Experience in common SW Development CI / CD tools.
