Job Description

The Senior Director of Product Management for Consumer Flash Products will lead the strategic direction, development, and management of SanDisk's entire consumer flash product portfolio.

This role requires a deep understanding of flash memory technology, market trends, and consumer needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities for product innovation and expansion, driving product planning, and ensuring our products meet the evolving demands of the market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Strategic Leadership : Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for SanDisk's consumer flash products, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business goals.

Sustainability strategy : Helpdevelop and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy for our technology products, ensuring alignment with our organization's overall sustainability objectives.

Team management / development : hire, manage and develop individual contributors and / or managers, while also expanding and standardizing existing product work streams & processes

Portfolio Management : Oversee the entire consumer flash product portfolio, ensuring it meets current market demands and aligns with future technology trends.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, marketing, and other departments to ensure product success and market penetration.

Category Management : Direct the strategic oversight and product lifecycle management of major consumer flash product categories, including memory cards, USB flash drives, and Solid State Drives (SSDs).

Ensure each category meets the market needs and contributes to the overall profitability and growth of the business.

Innovation Leadership : Stay ahead of technological trends in the flash memory and storage solutions sector. Lead the exploration and integration of next-generation technologies into product development to maintain and enhance market leadership.

Investment Strategy : Work closely with the executive team to lead the setting of investment portfolios, focusing on emerging technologies and market opportunities.

Ensure investments are aligned with the long-term strategic goals and have the potential to drive innovation and growth in the flash memory market.

Technology Partnerships : Foster strong relationships with technology partners, suppliers, and industry leaders to secure access to the latest technologies and innovations.

Collaborate on co-development projects that can enhance product offerings and competitive positioning.

Product Diversification : Evaluate and identify opportunities for product diversification within the flash memory space, ensuring SanDisk remains at the forefront of consumer storage solutions.

Leverage insights into technological advancements to guide new product development and portfolio expansion.

Qualifications

REQUIRED :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with a focus on consumer electronics or memory / storage products.

Proven track record of managing and launching successful consumer products.

Deep understanding of flash memory technology and the consumer electronics market is a plus

SKILLS :

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market trends into actionable product strategies.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

Able to manage working with global time zone

Experience presenting to senior level audiences

Compensation & Benefits Details

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education;
  • qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results;

4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.

The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.

This range may be modified in the future.

You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.

Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.

Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan.

RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
