As the General Manager for North Lake Tahoe, you will direct daily business operations. You will be responsible for managing processes related to housekeeping, maintenance, and QC in Track PMS.

This position also manages projects related to field operations, provides training for newly recruited employees, audits and inspects operational work assignments to ensure the business goals of the company are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Manages core operational systems and processes
  • Ensures Housekeeping work orders are completed as per company standard
  • Manages projects for organizational improvement
  • Manage and organizes supply inventories regionally
  • Prepares reports for management information
  • Sign-up of new owners by soliciting realtors, use of local network and through other marketing efforts
  • Accurately execute all company and brand initiatives, policies and procedures, and doing so with continuous improvement in quality, service, and operations
  • Ensures compliance with internal audit requirements
  • Recruit, hire, train, and lead employees to meet and exceed service and quality goals
  • Manages property inventory and ordering of supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained while remaining within budget
  • Manages the daily, weekly, and monthly administrative functions including but not limited to scheduling, labor reporting, night audit verification, responding to guest reviews, etc.
  • Participates with leadership in the preparation of annual budget and other financial reporting throughout the year
  • Ensure safety procedures are in place for the protection of employees and guests
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years job experience in hospitality
  • 2 years of experience in a management / leadership position preferably in hotel, restaurant, or retail management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customer Service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Supervisory skills combined with the ability to manage a team and hold team accountable
  • Ability to train, coach and develop team
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, paired with problem resolution skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Experience working with budgets preferred

Compensation

$85,000 - 90,000 / year

Working Conditions

The position will require travel, which may include some overnight travel, if needed, for training purposes or industry conferences.

The General Manager will be expected to familiarize themselves with the various properties and be available to meet with owners at their properties or at the office.

  • Because Grand Welcome has property locations in diverse regions, the physical environment may require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions.
  • Position may come into contact with pets.
  • Employee is required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals / materials.
  • Regularly scheduled hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules vary based on business need, so flexibility is expected.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
