Senior Field Producer
Al Jazeera Media Network are currently seeking a Senior Field Producer who will be responsible for running major News gathering assignments and special operations in the field.
In major events, the Senior Field Producer would be regarded as the 1st point of contact of all news operation in the field.
In bureaus, the Senior Field producer is the lead logistical contact.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deal with logistical issues for the team (transport, accommodation, accreditation, freelance crews, etc), as well as contributing editorially to the structure of the output.
- Conduct all preparations ahead of an assignment.
- Oversee and manage the field teams and resources to provide optimal coverage.
- Deliver all the required elements on time.
- Generate original and innovative stories from the region that reflect the Al Jazeera mandate.
- Liaise with news desks and planning desk for immediate and future coverage plans.
- Oversee and take responsibility for field finances.
- Travel based on editorial needs.
- Provide live and package reports whenever necessary, and when required to do so.
Education :
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Media, Communication or other related fields.
Experience :
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in writing, producing and reporting in a newsroom as a journalist.
