Job Responsibilities
- Review, analyze and provide recommendations for construction contractor baseline schedules and monthly updates.
- Conduct comprehensive CPM-based schedule analyses to proactively identify, measure and report schedule performance.
- Develop and maintain technical project monitoring reports on a monthly basis.
- Review Time Impact Analysis (TIA) claims and develop alternative analyses, recommendations and negotiation positions to resolve schedule and cost claims.
- Conduct periodic construction site visits and document project schedule performance.
- Perform technical reviews of construction plans, specifications and contract documents.
- Develop and review program-level schedules for full project life-cycle.
- Represent client in meetings with contractors, oversight agencies and other stakeholders.
- Develop Engineer’s estimates and Independent Cost Estimates including performing quantity take-offs and developing unit prices.
- Support project managers in cost analysis, costs tracking, earned value management and change management.
- Support qualitative and quantitative schedule and cost risk assessment for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- EIT or PE Certification
- Experience with Primavera P6, RSMEANS, and Microsoft Project
- Experience with time impact analysis and CPM (critical path method) analysis
- 5+ years of relevant experience in project controls and construction management on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Experience in using schedule analysis tools such as Schedule Analyzer or Acumen Fuse
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Primavera P6
- Demonstrated strong technical writing experience, excellent verbal / written communication skills
- Strong team player with ability to build and maintain internal and client relationships
- Transit and Highways projects experience are preferred
- Certification from PMI or AACE preferred
