The Portfolio Management Technology team is looking for a talented technologist to develop software and solutions for our cloud-based risk management platform, Advanced Collateral Management System (ACMS).

The team is in the process of building ultra-low latency, high volume, and reliable next generation cloud-based platform.

When it is completed, the applications should support processing several billions of inquiry transactions during market hours.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible team that delivers innovative business solutions leveraging emerging technologies at Schwab .

You will be working with a team of talented technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world Through Clients' Eyes .

What You Are Good At

• Using your technical expertise to make informed decisions.
• Analyzing and evaluating code
• Supporting and / or leading development projects with moderate complexity and scope
• Writing automated integration and unit tests
• Understanding complex risk business requirements
• Making a positive influence on your team members and peers
• Communicating complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Working on Proof of Concepts (PoCs) using new / emerging technology / tools

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of challenging the status quo, this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a software development role
• 3+ years of coding experience in C# (.NET, .NET Core)
• 2+ years of experience with full stack application development technologies, RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud technologies
• 3 + years of Agile / Scrum development and CI / CD experience
• Working experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, Aerospike (NoSQL) database, CI / CD, Splunk (logging), PCF (Cloud), and Agile Practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, and learn new technologies quickly
• Ability to produce detailed design with help from leads and architects and communicate the design to the necessary stakeholders
• Ability to coordinate with teams across different geographic locations

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to front end system integration with Pega / Appian BPM tools
• Familiarity with Schwab Technology ecosystem
• Effective time management skills and strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
