Supervises organizational activities related to patient safety. Acts as subject matter expert in the facilitation of root cause analysis and design / redesign projects and ensures that effective action plans are in place to protect the health and safety of patients and employees .
Provides oversight of patient safety activities for the organization to include root cause analysis (RCA) and design / redesign activities.
REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or health care related field.
- Minimum of 3 years combined experience in health care field in the following functions : Quality Improvement or TJC coordination, either in hospital or ambulatory settings.
- Demonstrated abilities to lead / facilitate teams.
- Provides clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, organizational ability, objective judgement, self-direction and motivation.
- Ability to function effectively with a wide variety of disciplines, including physicians and nurses.
- Make presentations on topics related to quality patient safety and regulatory issues.
- Able to participate as part of a team to accomplish an assigned project.

- Master of Science degree
- Supervisory experience
- Training as team leader and facilitator
- Certification in Health Care Quality.
