Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Director of Financial Aid. The Director of Financial Aid oversees financial aid staff and all processes relating to the administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid.
Ensures institutional compliance with Title IV regulations and state regulations as they relate to the IL MAP Grant and other state programs.
Contributes leadership to college enrollment and retention efforts. Manages the financial aid budget.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following :
- Determine eligibility for and oversee awarding, disbursement and reconciliation of all federal, state and institutional financial aid.
- Develop data-driven institutional scholarship and grant policies to support enrollment, retention, and revenue goals.
- Contribute to leadership group focusing on enrollment, retention, and marketing efforts
- Report on the College’s discount rate for traditional undergraduate program
- Plan department objectives, organize department responsibilities, provide leadership to financial aid staff, and measure outcomes and progress.
- Ensure institutional compliance with Title IV regulations, and maintain the College’s Title IV Policies and Procedures manual.
- Monitor regulatory developments and lead the College through required changes
- Maintain the College’s Program Participation Agreement with the US Department of Education and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
- Complete and submit required reports and surveys, including FISAP, IPEDS, NAIA, Common Data Set, Petersons, US News & World Report, and others.
- Prepare and serve as POC for annual A-133 audit, and any other financial aid audits.
- Maintain the College’s Net Price Calculator and provide content for Financial Aid web pages
- Ensure students receive excellent service from financial aid staff
- Implement loan default prevention strategies and encourage responsible financial behavior in the student body.
- Certify veteran educational benefits and apply awards to accounts
- Seek outside (non-institutional) scholarship opportunities for students
- Provide financial aid training to Admissions counselors (twice per year)
- Regularly communicate important financial aid information to students
- Present financial aid sessions at College visit days, college fairs, or high school financial aid nights.
- Coordinate with Advancement Office in establishment and awarding of donor-funded scholarships
- Lead and maintain Scholarship Universe
- Assist in establishing and monitoring institutional discount rate

A bachelor’s degree with 5 years financial aid experience is required.
