Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to work onsite and play a pivotal role in our production and final assembly of landing gear components.
In this position, you will apply your expertise in assembly methods, tooling, and techniques to develop and refine our overall tooling and assembly practices.
Utilizing Continuous Improvement tools, you will drive initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in our operations.
Your ability to manage offsite activities and coordinate with other Collins facilities will be essential in ensuring that our tooling and work instructions are streamlined and effective.
What YOU Will Do :
Outlines Develop basic manufacturing and assembly methods / operation sequence to support for production team and design determines type and class of detailed tooling and, equipment to ensure and manufacture per drawing / specification requirements for Landing Gear programs
Perform preliminary mechanical design analysis of tooling and manufacturing methods and techniques required to develop and administer the overall manufacturing philosophy for major detailed and assembly Landing Gear programs
Manage entire production order process from release through to completion including proper ERP system and documentation release, manufacturing plan configuration, and work order bill of material maintenance in ERP system
Lead Under general direction originates and events to propose new and improved tooling designs, materials, manufacturing, and equipment methods to simplify and / or improve existing manufacturing method
Prepare special work instructions to support non-routine rework / repair for MRB and or warranty related items
Helps drive the Organization transition to one that is supportive of and operating at the Least Waste Way.
Actively contributes site environmental health and safety (EEHS) committee to drive EHS improvements and reduce operational risks
Participates with Quality improvement / changes
Participates in Notice of Escape investigation, Root Cause Corrective Actions, and establish robust process to prevent reoccurrence
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
