Thales India Engineering Competency Center in Bangalore is seeking a Tech Lead or Senior Tech Lead role to be part of Engineering Operations team of Thales India.

In this role you will be responsible for ensure technology maturity and industrial targets for Aerospace Test benches and products to meet the customer requirements.

Qualifications : BE / BTech in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication or Industrial Engineering or equivalent discipline with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.

Working experience in Defense military Aerospace products development is desirable.

Location : Anchorage-2, 100 / 2, Wing-A, Richmond Rd, Richmond Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560025.

Job Responsibilities :

Management of Industrial deliverables and manufacturing topics for the test benches (BTS and BTD) and product development.

Should be able to prepare scope of work for subcontracted activities and manage the scope with subcontracted supplier.

Responsible for delivery of the test system hardware.

Setting-up of Industrial resources and processes.

Should be able to prepare scope of work for subcontracted activities and manage the scope with subcontracted supplier.

Monitoring of production / manufacturing plans and interface of the various stakeholders involved;

Should be able to perform trade analysis of design to cost, industrial tools efficiency and tests covering, manufacturing process and supplier management.

Technical Support of the NPI / NPD programs withIndian suppliers (DFM, Recurring cost, Technology maturity ,Production readiness reviews, First article inspection and clearance);

Must have experience to ensure the realization of your batch in the objective of the targeted RC series, the mastery of NRC industrialization and the provision of production lines of all means of production and testing,

Must have large technical competencies : PCB technologies (multi-layers, digital ), PCBA technologies (fine pitch, power devices, Lead free and leaded high reliability soldering, PCB protection and repairing), Mechanical structures development, Surface preparation and finishing for airborne hardened equipment from design phase to manufacturing process validation.

Must have experience in technologies qualification plan definition and execution in order to increase technology maturity form TRL3-4 to TRL 5-6

Must have experience in electronic manufacturing readiness definition and execution in order to increase process maturity form MRL2-4 to MRL7-8

Should be able to assess product conformity and industrial performance of subcontracted activities

  • Pilot the industrialization and production transfers;
  • Advise / train development teams dealing with manufacturing issues;

Should be very much hands on with Visio and MS office tool packages

Minimum Skills / Experience :

At least 12 years of exposure in the manufacturing / Industrial / Test bench development / Supplier management

Production line management (electronic (Preferred) and / or mechanic and / or test benches

Management of supplier performances working with supply chain team;

Good knowledge of production processes, tools, planning, PLM tools

Experience on industrial transfers;

Well versed with Design for manufacturing ,testing concepts for Electromechanical modules, PCBs and box builds

Hands on experience on Manufacturing engineering and Test bench manufacturing

  • Open minded, Intercultural interested;
  • Strong team spirit and cross-functional leadership;
  • Used to complex environment;
