Position Summary
Collaborate with stakeholders in the Medicare business units to understand the analytical needs and interrupt complex healthcare data performance.
Serves as a liaison between business report users and Informatics development consultants, translating business requirements into technical specifications for report development.
Create and communicate messages based on available data from real-time analyses, including preparing easy-to-understand charts, tables, graphs, and other related documents for diverse audiences.
Self-motivated to identify opportunities for process improvement and strives to simplify overly complex processes.
Contribute to data warehouse enhancements by investigating opportunities for inclusion of new data sources, identifying and facilitating correction of data quality issues.
Create complex queries and conduct technical report / programming.
Validate reports and deliverables for accuracy and timeliness per specifications and workflows.
Meet with other plan departments and cross-functional areas to understand and facilitate data requests.
Monitor and track data requests and regulatory notices.
Analyze complex data for trends and outliers and provides in-depth root cause analysis.
Emphasize clear documentation and write code that is readable and reproducible.
Understand nuances of data, check for reasonability, and work to improve data quality.
Monitor and maintain audit processes and documentation.
Influence changes / enhancements to business processes, policies, and system infrastructure to improve the information.
Create and evaluate the data needs of assigned projects and assure the integrity of the data. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions using programming tools creatively.

Required Qualifications
Proven experience in data science & analysis (statistical, healthcare, business, data, or financial).
Statistical and business modeling experience required.
Extensive experience with databases as well as interpretation and manipulation of related data (3-5 years of data interpretation and analysis experience required).
Experience and ability to build robust Python or R code for, for example, ETL, modeling, or automation.
Strong SQL skills required : 2-3+ years of experience.
Knowledge of data and reporting platforms such as : SAS Webi, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, Quickbase.
Strong knowledge of health care claims, products, and systems. Willingness to understand and probe into technical details.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, analytical skills, and excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experiences with building machine learning models and forecasting.
Experience with managed care health plans.
Experience working on large, complex healthcare data.
Experience with health insurance data and operations.
Experience with HEDIS measures and NCQA Accreditation.
Experience with healthcare data standards.
Experienced in relational databases, data systems and data warehouses.
Experienced in SQL Server, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, QuickBase.
Proactive mindset with a commitment to support the growth of our healthcare business, with focus on Medicare.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Healthcare, or equivalent experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is : $63,300.00 - $139,200.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
