We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing hospital in West Nashville as we strive to improve the lives and strengthen the bond between clients and their pets! Our 4 doctor small animal practice provides unique services like therapeutic laser therapy, dental radiography, and Fear Free practices.

Position Skills :

• Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
• Laboratory procedures including but not limited to : hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
• Nursing skills including : restraining patients, administering medications PO / IV / SUBQ / IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
• Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements :

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited program
