Avenue Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our caring and dedicated team. We are an AAHA accredited small animal hospital devoted to a high standard of medicine with consistent and superior customer service.
- Applicants must be familiar with : preparation and administration of medications and treatments; IV catheter placement;
- blood draws; proper care of hospitalized patients; obtaining and preparing samples for laboratory evaluations; quantifying and recording cytology results;
- preparation of invoices, treatment plans, and discharge instructions; proper technique and positioning for radiographs; client education and communication;
obtaining patient history and recording vital signs.
- The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and hardworking.
- Licensure is not required, but we ask that only applicants with at least one year of solid veterinary technician experience apply.
- Applicants without veterinary technician experience will not be considered.
