Fred Finch is opening a Crisis Home in Jamul that will provide 24 / 7 non-medical care to children.

Join our team as : Crisis Home Counselor What You Will Do The Crisis Home Counselor is responsible for the day-to-day care and supervision of teens with special needs in a crisis home program setting.

The Crisis Home Counselor provides high quality care and ensures the safety of participants, staff, and site in accordance with Community Crisis Home regulations, program philosophy, agency policy and accreditation standards.

The Crisis Home Counselor helps with the implementation of the treatment / behavior plans for each participant in collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Shifts Available Full time employment.

Hours / Days TBD Salary Range In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $22.55 and $36.73 per hour.

The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements) : A.A.

Degree or several years of experience.

A minimum of 1 year experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities who have challenging behavior service needs.

Become a Registered Behavior Technician within 12 months of initial employment.Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model.

Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.Knowledge of the autism spectrum and characteristic of individuals with autism.

Knowledge of learning theory and behavioral principles and techniques.Clear understanding of the distinction between therapeutic and social relationships and demonstrated ability to maintain appropriate relationships / boundaries.

Ability to maintain positive morale exhibiting effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and taking initiative to solve problems.

Ability to set priorities and react appropriately to emergency situations.Clean driving record : current CA Drivers License required, or the ability to obtain within 10 days after hired.

Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and / or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems.

Preferred B.A.

in related fieldTwo (2) years of related work experience.A minimum of one (1) year experience with intellectually / developmentally disabled and / or emotionally disturbed youth in a residential setting.
