The Squarespace Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for FP&A supporting the R&D organization.
A key business partner involved with the various aspects of budgeting, forecasting, & the analysis / interpretation of financial results.
The role requires a strong ethical foundation & the ability to present unbiased & accurate information to all stakeholders.
You will collaborate with cross-functional partners (Engineering / Product) on items ranging from Headcount, Contracted Services, Software, & other investments.
You will partner with the FP&A Director & investments team to further explore a range of business questions, ultimately helping the company to achieve its financial & operational goals, through data & sophisticated analysis.
We expect this Senior Analyst to be motivated to learn on the job & grow along with the company. You will dig into challenges - from routine operations, to forecasting & planning - to connect the dots & draw valuable insights for the business.
You will develop relationships with the leaders on your partner teams, & thereby you should be comfortable presenting financial information to various executive stakeholders.

You'll Get To
- Support the forecast & planning process by communicating with business partners & internal finance to identify investment opportunities
- Partner with the Engineering & Product teams to manage & forecast all investments, including headcount, software, & contracted services for all products globally
- Drive improvements in headcount reporting & forecasting
- Partner with Recruiting team for compensation analysis by geo
- Perform variance analysis & provide recommendations on spend across organizational teams
- Use knowledge of the business & corporate functions, while proactively providing impactful data & insights that may help drive the decision-making process
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes & propose improvements to streamline the use of key business metrics
- Actively involved in the preparation of the monthly close, forecast, annual planning process, as well as the related financial reviews with Corporate stakeholders
- Promote innovation & automation
Who We're Looking For
- 7+ years experience in financial planning & analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent experience
- Mastery of Excel & FP&A Systems experience (e.g., Workday, Adaptive Insights, NetSuite)
- Willingness to dig into the numbers to gain key insights
- Ability to effectively interact with team members across the business area & corporate functions, at all levels

Cash Compensation Range : $126,500 - $160,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
