Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Human Resource Manager for a remote role (must live on the east coast) with a growing clinical research company.

The HR Manager will be responsible for the routine functions of the Human Resources department including recruitment, performance management and employee relations, line management guidance and coaching, oversight of payroll, benefits and leaves, compliance functions, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities :

  • Builds effective relationships with managers and leaders to ensure functional alignment with business needs and key initiatives.
  • Holds regular 1 : 1 meetings with line managers of direct reports, providing support, partnership, coaching, and guidance related to their business units and team(s).
  • Supports line managers with complex, specialized, and sensitive performance questions and issues.
  • To provide coaching and mentoring to line managers for their teams and to ensure team and organizational goals are being met within each department.
  • Work closely with Senior Management in identifying critical positions and roles within the organization and to develop action plans (including without limitation development plans or succession plans) to identify leadership roles, potential leaders and growth of key staff and top performers.
  • May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing oversight of warnings or performance improvement plans, workplace investigations, harassment, involuntary terminations, and reasonable accommodations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include the screening of qualified candidates, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles;

collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Responsible for onboarding and orientation of new hires and ensuring a smooth exit transition for terminating staff. Processes forms and system updates related to new hires, change-of- status, performance evaluations, benefits changes, separations etc.

Ensures employee data in HRIS is accurate.

Provides review and revision of policies when changes are necessary, ensuring bi-annual compliance is completed by deadlines.

Engages in the annual revision of the Employee Handbook and can direct employees and managers to relevant guidelines and content when needed.

  • Analyzes trends in compensation; participates in the processing of annual incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent and work with Line Managers and Department Heads to determine the appropriate salary range and offer details.
  • Collaborates with global HR staff to ensure consistency in policies and handbooks across the organization, offering best practices based upon collective experience.
  • Creates learning and development programs and leads company initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees and management.
  • Maintains compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory changes, trends, and best practices in human resources and employment law.
  • Establishes strong and positive relationships with benefit vendors. Coordinates the administration of benefits, including carrier connections.

Manages staff enrollments, changes, and terminations.

  • Schedule periodic insurance benefits orientation for all staff members.
  • Reconciles benefit invoices monthly. Comparing the carrier invoice data to the enrollment data within the company’s benefit administration or payroll system to identify discrepancies that may exist between the two.

Resolves issues as needed.

Acts as a Plan Administrator for the Company’s 401(k) program. Meets monthly with the retirement vendor. Oversees the administrative functions of the Plan including reporting, compliance, plan maintenance, and communications.

Assists in annual audits.

  • Support with ad-hoc HR projects and business initiatives such as succession planning, mergers, and acquisitions, employee development, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) efforts, and employee engagement.
  • Provide support in ensuring compliance with all statutory labor laws and regulatory framework. Prepares required reports including but not limited to COBRA, 5500.

OSHA, EEO, AA, CA Pay Data, turnover, and headcount reports.

Requirements :

  • Must live on the East Coast
  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Communication, or related fiend
  • Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience in managing Employee Relations
  • Experience in Costpoint and / or Workforce Now
  • International HR experience is desired Mexico
  • Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and works with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple HR operations in different locations at any given time with varying deadlines and timeframes.
