The HR Manager will be the sole HR professional within the organization, responsible for managing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training and development, and payroll.

This role requires a versatile and proactive individual with a strong background in HR management within a small business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Management

  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-offered benefits.
  • Coordinate and conduct training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

Payroll Management

  • Process bi-weekly / monthly payroll using Payroll Software / System .
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll taxes, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including timesheets, PTO balances, and salary changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws and regulations.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure company compliance with all HR-related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Employee Engagement and Culture

  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Organize employee events and activities to enhance team cohesion and morale.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters.
