Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and sustaining activities of processes used in our Operations facilities located in the Atlanta Area.
This individual will be responsible for introducing new products, equipment, and processes into masks production in compliance with ResMed quality management system requirements.
The candidate must be able to implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve best in class operational measures of quality & efficiency.
Our Manufacturing Engineer is a self-starter, who can independently drive projects and day-to-day work tasks to completion according to a defined budget and schedule.
Let's Talk About Responsibilities :
- Implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities and documents to meet current and future production volume and delivery requirements.
- Supports production by resolving technical issues as required.
- Promote a safe working environment by following OSHA guidelines as well as implementing & closing out actions for the continual improvement of work place safety.
- Represent Atlanta manufacturing on project & cross-functional teams, actively communicating with Engineering and Support counterparts in Atlanta and other facilities.
- Provide constructive technical feedback and recommendations to ensure robust, manufacturable product, engaging external suppliers as appropriate.
- Successful project management execution. Understand project risk, develop contingencies, track milestones and deliver project outcomes on time.
- Introduce & maintain production procedures, ensuring to support error-proofing methodologies.
- Create and maintain process flow, PFMEA, and Operation and Maintenance records.
- Provide training on new equipment, processes & procedures as required.
- Complete process verification / validation activities & documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement activities and projects through the application of Lean and / or six-sigma methodology.
- Responsible for assisting the management team in fostering and maintaining a Lean-thinking culture based on continuous improvement and the application of basic Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Assess and implement new processes, equipment and technologies for longer-term manufacturing requirements, balancing cost & resource allocation.
- Capable of producing written reports and conducting presentations to front-line employees, as well as to senior management.

Let's Talk about Qualifications and Experience :
- 3+ years of experience in related field of Manufacturing Engineering.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in volume manufacturing.
- Experience with process qualification and validation within a regulated Quality System environment.
- Experience with continuous improvement, maintaining Configuration control, line balancing, and Kanban practices.
- FDA Quality System Regulations for medical devices is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of SPC and related statistical techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes & equipment for high volume production of discrete products.
- Equivalent combination of experience and / or education may be considered.
