Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) and Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a BMD Training Specialist AEGIS Fire Control System (FCS) Subject Matter Expert.

This position emphasizes the importance of training and certification of ships in the Pacific Fleet, particularly focusing on the role of a Qualified Missile Systems Supervisor (MSS).

The BMD Training Specialist - AEGIS FCS SME requires a combination of operational expertise, instructional capabilities, and a solid understanding of BMD systems to enhance the training and certification processes for ships in the Pacific Fleet.

The ideal candidate will be proactive in improving training standards and supporting the operational readiness of naval forces.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

• Training and Certification :
• Support the training and certification of all ships in the Pacific Fleet, particularly related to Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) systems.
• Operational Management :
• Oversee and manage missile systems on Aegis BMD platforms, ensuring proper configuration and operational readiness.
• Instruction and Training :
• Serve as an instructor / trainer for BMD operations, enhancing crew proficiency through effective training programs.
• Program Quality Control :
• Assist in the development and analysis of training standards, ensuring quality and compliance with evolving requirements.
• Data Analysis :
• Monitor, analyze, and track ships in training, providing data-driven insights for operational improvements.
• BMD Requirements Generation :
• Contribute to the generation and certification of Ballistic Missile Defense training requirements, ensuring readiness for deployment.

Requirements : Experience :

Experience :

• Surface Navy Experience :
• 2 years of surface Navy experience as a Qualified Missile Systems Supervisor (MSS) on an Aegis BMD or equivalent platform.
• Training and Operational Experience :
• 2 years as an instructor / trainer or operational experience on a BMD-configured Aegis ship or within a BMD command / agency.
• Participation in BMD deployment certification or similar training.
• Knowledge of BMD Concepts :
• Familiarity with Ballistic Missile Defense concepts and the development of comprehensive intelligence scenario products for BMD training.

Knowledge Areas :

• BMD Tactics and Technical Systems :
• In-depth knowledge of BMD tactics, technical systems, and relevant instructions, including COMNAVSURFORINST 8820.2 series requirements and tactical memorandums.

Security Clearance :

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
