Position Description The School of Nursing in downtown Atlanta is seeking applicants for two full-time, non-tenure-track faculty positions : one for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and one for a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

These nine-month positions will involve teaching and advising in both undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as engaging in scholarly activities.

Additional duties include participation in school, university, and community service. The rank of the position will be based on prior clinical and / or teaching experience.

Preferred candidates will hold terminal degrees such as a PhD in Nursing or a relevant field, DNP, or DNSC. Required Experience Candidates should have at least two years of combined nursing practice experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

Required Education For the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) position, candidates must have a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on the FNP role, and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required.

For the Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) position, candidates must hold a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on the PMHNP role, along with certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

A master's degree is required for the Clinical Instructor and Clinical Assistant Professor positions. A doctoral degree is required for the Clinical Associate and Clinical Professor positions.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience Ideal candidates will have current clinical practice experience as an FNP or PMHNP and a strong background in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Demonstrated involvement in scholarly research, publications, and active participation in professional nursing organizations and community service are highly desirable.

For the FNP position, experience in diverse clinical settings and advanced knowledge in family practice are preferred. For the PMHNP position, experience in psychiatric and mental health settings and expertise in managing complex mental health cases are advantageous.

These qualifications will help candidates contribute effectively to the School of Nursing's academic and community objectives.

Experience in clinical practice relevant to the FNP or PMHNP roles is highly desirable, though current clinical practice is not required.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in both clinical and academic settings, demonstrating a proven ability to contribute effectively to teaching, advising, and scholarly activities.

Preferred candidates for both positions will have a terminal degree such as a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Doctor of Nursing Science (DNSC).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Successful candidates will possess extensive clinical expertise in either family medicine (FNP) or psychiatric and mental health care (PMHNP), with a strong ability to manage complex cases.

They should have proven teaching skills at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and be adept at providing academic advising and mentorship.

Experience in research and scholarly publications is crucial, along with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and community members.

A demonstrated commitment to service within the academic and broader community, coupled with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, is also essential.

These qualities will ensure a positive impact on the School of Nursing's teaching, research, and service missions. Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations, etc Candidates must hold an active Georgia RN license or be eligible for licensure.

For the FNP position, certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required, while for the PMHNP position, certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
