Staff Accountant 1 (FBAC4101)

Pay Range : $21.37- $32.87 per hour (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Staff Accountant 1 is under general supervision, follows established procedures, performs detailed accounting assignments requiring a basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles.

REQUIREMENTS :

Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred or an equivalent of education and experience.

1 to 3 year of accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Payable.

Basic knowledge of the accounting function required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process high volume of vendor invoices daily.
• Assist other employees with proper accounting coding for invoices.
• Research and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Take part of weekly payment runs.
• Process and book employee expense reports and produce reports for payroll department for reimbursement.
• Record reclass and accrual by journal entries as needed.
• Issue 1099 reporting every year.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
