Experience : None required
License : Registration from the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) within 6 months of hire
Certifications : Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
Must-Have :
Proficiency in patient care, radiographic imaging, and radiology procedures
Job Description :
- Produce radiographs and fluoroscopic images to aid in the proper diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Operate standard radiology equipment for radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastrointestinal series, and body section radiography.
- Assist physicians and perform specialized imaging procedures.
- Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for area responsibility.
- Provide essential patient care during various procedures.
- Position patients to demonstrate desired anatomy effectively.
- Administer contrast / medication in conjunction with imaging procedures.
- Enter technical data into the computer, evaluate radiographs, and ensure technical quality of the images.
- Serve as a resource person for hospital and medical staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize assignments, and work as a team member to deliver quality patient care.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in and approaching graduation within six weeks or have graduated from an accredited Radiography program.
Fluency in English including reading, writing, and speaking is required.
