The Community Development group in Providence, RI is looking for a civil engineering intern to assist design teams on various site design related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic site and drainage designs
- Implement Sustainable Site design principles
- Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications
- Provide construction administration support
- Execute design-related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro
Our internship program is a 12 week paid summer program. We offer in-depth work experience on real client projects. The successful candidate will work directly with the diverse technical experts of the Community Development group in a supportive and collaborative design team environment that seeks to maximize team member engagement.
The position is full-time Monday through Friday.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on site design and land development
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Proficiency with MS Office programs
- Prior experience with CAD software preferred
- Ability to perform field work
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment
