Who You'll Work With :

The Legal and Compliance Department is responsible for protecting the firm from regulatory and reputational risk across the globe and strengthening the firm’s culture of compliance.

We do this through collaborative partnership with the business units we support by providing thoughtful and timely advice.

In addition, the department conducts global monitoring and training activities that prevent, detect and mitigate regulatory and reputational risk.

The advice coupled with the monitoring and training activities provide the framework to support the firm’s business strategy and objectives while maintaining a high standard for integrity.

What We're Looking For :

• Juris Doctorate degree with 7+ years in employment-related practice with direct counseling experience to People Team professionals and business executives.
• State of Tennessee bar admission (active and in good standing) or admission to another State’s bar with the ability to obtain In-House designation in Tennessee.
• Significant subject matter experience in risk mitigation related to employee-life cycle events such as : hiring, employee relations, performance management, termination, and workforce reductions.

Preferred Qualifications :

• In-house legal department experience
• Financial services experience

Your attention to detail is crucial as you review and prepare employment agreements, performance documentation and separation documents.

Your intellectual curiosity is prominent as you keep apprised of and ensure compliance with new federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

• Areas of your subject matter expertise should include a broad range of employment matters on day-to-day employee issues relating to : recruiting;
• hiring; performance management; compensation; reorganization and restructuring; wage and overtime standards; leaves of absence;

return to work and accommodation issues; terminations; and Title VII compliance.
