Job Description

Come work with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence at Coffman Engineers. For our Anchorage office, we are seeking a Corrosion Control Engineer with at least five years of experience who wants to work and grow as a team player within our multi-discipline firm.

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic as well as experience collaborating in a team environment.

Responsibilities May Include :

  • Assisting with Internal and External Corrosion Evaluations & Monitoring
  • Atmospheric Corrosion Control Inspections
  • Preparing and Reviewing API 570 & 653 inspection reports for technical accuracy
  • Preparing calculations in accordance with API 570 & 653 standards
  • Performing cathodic protection surveys for various structures (pipelines, docks, etc.) and preparing reports
  • Preparing cathodic protection system designs including drawings, specifications, and materials selections
  • Overseeing cathodic protection system installations
  • Performing site walk downs and preparing field as-built drawings

Qualifications

Requirements Include :

  • API 570 or API 653 certification preferred
  • NACE CP2 or higher preferred
  • Oil and gas, DOD and / or water / wastewater inspection corrosion control experience
  • Travel, perform field work, and work overtime
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Coffman’s stringent requirements
  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or eligibility to obtain a TWIC
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and database programs
  • Exceptional organization, writing, communication and project management skills
