About This Role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely reconciliation of financial activity and will be an important member of the Corporate Finance / Accounting team.
The Senior Accountant will be involved in the preparation and review of daily accounting operations and timely period-end close process.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple accounting processes, with a strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance, and have ownership as a subject matter expert for certain transaction cycles and accounting policy application.
Overall Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Corporate Controllership and FP&A
Oversee period financial close, meeting required accounting deadlines
Support nationwide team of staff, clerks, and other specialists as a subject matter expert over multiple accounting processes
Own various accruals according to management estimates
Review GL reconciliations, owning the process of balance sheet substantiation
Prepare periodic financial statements in accordance with GAAP and ad-hoc reporting on accounting actuals
Support external year-end audits and quarterly reviews
Assist Corporate Controllership with various ad-hoc GAAP, Pro-Forma, Tax, and FP&A projects
Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership
Qualifications
3+ years of public accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree, Accounting (CPA, MBA, MAcc Preferred)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (x-lookup, pivot tables, data hygiene & organization, etc.)
Eye for accuracy
Experience working with Mid to Enterprise scale ERP solutions and other Enterprise software (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, SFDC, Workday) a plus
Must be a quick learner and able to work independently
