EssentialResponsibilities
- istveterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgeryand other tasks asneeded.
- istveterinarians in outpatient exams by taking histories vital signsand weights as well as providing clienteducation.
- Preparepatients for surgery and monitor vital signs of the patient duringsurgery.
- Obtainblood stool and other samples; perform inhospital laboratorytesting and prepare specimens for outsidelaboratories.
- Takedevelop and maintain radiographs following proper safetyprocedures.
- Providebasic animal handling and restrain animals duringexams.
- Administerand monitor medications anesthesia vaccines and treatments at thediscretion of theveterinarian.
- Cleanand straighten exam rooms treatment and lab areas; restock examrooms with supplies. ist other team members to keep the publicareas of the practice clean;
clean and maintain all medicalequipment.
- Demonstratewarmth courtesy and professionalism in all interactions withclients; exercise compion and care in all interactions withpatients.
- Communicatewith veterinarians and practice team members including clientdiscussions patient plans client concernsetc.
- Anyother duties asigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Previousveterinary experiencerequired
- Abilityto lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability tolift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds withistance
- PracticeOSHA safety techniques including properPPE
- Basicmath and the ability to calculate medicationdosages
- Basiccomputer ss familiarity with MS office applicationsetc.
- Strongcommunication ss to ensure patientsafety
