Job Title : Material Handler
Job Description
This role focuses on inventory control and shipping / receiving. You will be responsible for processing incoming orders, checking them into a basic inventory management system (Excel), and preparing orders for shipment.
Throughout the day, you will receive orders via email, prepare them by printing necessary materials such as labels and shipping slips, and ensure packages are ready for shipment.
You need to understand shipping schedules and ensure timely dispatch to customers. Approximately 10% of your day will involve forklift operation, and you will handle roughly 10-30 transactions daily.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming orders and check them into an inventory management system (Excel).
- Receive orders via email and prepare them for shipment.
- Print necessary materials such as labels, barcodes, and shipping slips.
- Prepare packages and ensure they are ready for shipment.
- Understand shipping schedules and ensure timely dispatch to customers.
- Operate a forklift for approximately 10% of the day.
- Complete roughly 10-30 transactions daily.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Basic proficiency in Excel (functions such as add and subtract).
- Previous experience creating shipping labels.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
