Job Description :

We are looking for a talented Senior Technical Product Owner who shares our passion for building innovative products to solve complex problems in the Data Analytics and Business Intelligence space.

The Senior Technical Product Owner has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking, and managing key features of a Data Reporting solution designed to meet and support executive decision discussions.

He / she is responsible for identifying technical and user requirements and providing the direction necessary for meeting the solution objectives and timelines.

The Senior Technical Product Owner must also be able to manage the design and development schedule, user requirements and task details and produce best of breed, innovative designs.

He / she must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making.

Finally, the Senior Technical Product Owner must have the courage to face up to issues squarely and early, resolve conflicts, admit to problems and seek coaching openly, escalate if necessary, and generally champion the people and the solution up, down, and across the organization.

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include :

  • Understand customer needs, define problem statements, research solutions, develop data-driven proposals.
  • Assume overall responsibility for ensuring the Solution’s features are designed, planned, managed, and delivered in accordance with agreed work-plans and objectives.
  • Discover and articulate technical requirements and dependencies.
  • Add value in technical discussions concerning feature design and implementation.
  • Ensure that the development and execution of all the solution’s features are on time and to budget.
  • Accurately document feature designs in Specification Documents, JIRA Stories, and other solutions as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate full accountability for all tasks and proactively manage action items, issues, and deliverables. Drive progress.
  • Support the implementation of features, coordinating with internal and external resources and working with cross-functional departments as required.
  • Support multiple feature projects and / or process improvement initiatives simultaneously (in various stages of implementation).
  • Act as SCRUM Master, lead and / or participate in SCRUM Meetings, Grooming and Planning meetings as necessary.
  • Facilitate and lead cross-organizational discussions and meetings.
  • Other duties as needed.

Key Skills and Abilities Include :

  • Critical analysis and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, JIRA, and Project Management Tools.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills, and ability to influence others.
  • Domain knowledge in Security related technologies will definitely help.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience writing detailed Web services related user stories.
  • Ability to work with and lead the efforts of other team members.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and contribute in a team setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and change focus as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Key Personal Attributes Include :

  • BA / BS degree or equivalent industry experience desired.
  • THINKER, STRATEGIST and NOT a TASK MASTER.
  • 5-7 years direct work experience in an IT project or program management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Experience in Agile Development and Jira strongly desired.
  • Experience in cloud-based and mobile products.
  • Strong product and technology focus.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware development processes.
  • High-level professionalism.
  • Friendly and outgoing.
  • Present a professional appearance.
  • Background domain knowledge in Security environment a definite plus.
