Director Of Operations (Construction)

The Director of Operations (Construction) is responsible for leading and managing a regional portfolio of federal design-build and design-bid-build construction projects totaling over $30M annually. This role oversees all lifecycle construction activities, ensures regulatory and contractual compliance, and drives operational excellence across the Southwest region. The Director will also lead a high-performing team, support business development efforts, and implement data-driven strategies to optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Delivery & Execution
• Oversee full lifecycle of federal construction contracts from startup to closeout
• Ensure high-quality construction plans and schedules that meet safety and contract standards
• Conduct jobsite visits, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions
• Provide contract interpretation and support to project managers
• Negotiate modifications with government personnel and subcontractors
• Lead project closeout, retainage recovery, and claims resolution
