Human Resources Business Partner
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in the retail sector.
The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about its culture and its competition. The HRBP will be on site, in an office setting and may regularly visit retail establishments and will have a varying schedule outside of normal business hours.
Conducts regular meetings with the retail business unit management team which may include the President, Vice President, Area Managers or Store Managers.
Consults with line management, providing HR guidance to create an environment of continuous improvement in HR and within the retail sector by establishing new approaches to improve efficiency and morale.
- Works closely with Area Managers and Store Managers to ensure the company is providing fairness and consistency companywide.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Works closely with and communicates frequently with the Corporate Human Resources team to ensure consistency among practices for each store.
- Collaborates with Corporate Human Resources to deliver HR solutions that help maintain a positive workplace.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for the retail business unit and individual executive coaching needs.
- Works closely with the Training Manager to evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Works closely with Corporate Security Manager in employee criminal investigations and assists with the recommended corrective actions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Payrate : $85,873 to $97,902 Annually
