Salary : $100,000-$160,000 (commensurate of experience)

A highly respected law firm specializing in bankruptcy is seeking an experience Litigation Attorney to join the legal team.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of bankruptcy law and proceedings, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong ability to handle clients' stressful needs with professionalism.
The Bankruptcy Attorney will represent and advise clients in understanding their legal options and navigate a most challenging process of which they've likely never experienced.
Responsibilities :
- Consult with clients to evaluate their financial situation and assess the need for bankruptcy.
- Prepare and file all necessary bankruptcy documents for clients.
- Represent clients at 341 meetings, court hearings, and other required appearances.
- Advise clients on their rights and responsibilities during bankruptcy proceedings.
- Perform research and stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients throughout the legal process.
- Negotiate with creditors on behalf of the client to rearrange debt or create a payment plan.
- Provide legal advice on how to avoid future financial difficulties.
- Handle all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including bankruptcy avoidance, workouts, and creditors rights.
- Represent debtors, creditors, and trustees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters.
- Prosecute and defend adversary and contested proceedings in bankruptcy court.
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state bankruptcy laws.
- Excellent negotiation and litigation skill.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and manage sizeable caseloads.
- Strong analytical, writing, research and problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience representing various parties in bankruptcy matters, including debtors, trustees, creditors, and committees.
- Experience in commercial litigation and real estate law.
- Bilingual in Spanish
