ASSYST is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer in Laurel, MD.
This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite in Laurel, MD and 2 days remote). The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new ServiceNow applications and modules, as well as configuring and customizing existing ones.
This includes building custom workflows, forms, and user interfaces, and integrating ServiceNow with other systems using APIs.
The Developer will also automate workflows to streamline processes, conduct thorough testing to ensure quality, and provide ongoing technical support to end-users.
Furthermore, the role involves creating and maintaining technical documentation and collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
Experience / Qualification / Knowledge Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related scientific or technical field and 10 years minimum of relevant experience
- Work Experience : 8+ years of proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a strong understanding of the platform's architecture and capabilities.
- Industry Knowledge : Preferred to have experience in water and wastewater industry understanding of oracle utility applications.
- Project Experience : Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects in diverse team environments with a focus on ServiceNow development tools and techniques, including scripting in JavaScript, Jelly, and AngularJS
- ITIL : Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.
- Service Now Modules : Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM and CSM.
- Integration Expertise : Experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems using APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.
- Workflow and Automation : Ability to design and implement automated workflows to streamline processes.
- Cloud Technologies : Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., Azure)
- ServiceNow Platform Expertise : Hands-on experience with ServiceNow development tools and techniques.
- Communication & Collaboration : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, especially when working with large, complex datasets.
