JOB SUMMARY / OVERVIEW

The position leads strategy and ownership of highly complex, cross-functional programs and guides resources which may include people, data, processes, and financial investments.

The position engages in cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders to establish vision, objectives, and program strategy, lead cross-functional process and program improvement efforts, and create a culture of continuous improvement.

The ServiceNow Architect will assist in defining and communicating the ServiceNow product vision and delivery roadmap through partnership with the ServiceNow product family owners.

Will establish a process to inform the product vision, backlog prioritization and delivery releases. product life cycle of the ServiceNow platform including the conception of new modules, product upgrades, 3rd party integrations and module replacement when appropriate.

This position stays abreast instilling modern software engineering and deployment techniques and industry best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as the system subject matter expert on the functionality of ServiceNow CMDB
  • Uses ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices to ensure IT and digital services are aligned to business needs and core objectives.
  • The CMDB manager should monitor and audit the CMDB activities and transactions, such as data collection, discovery, reconciliation, verification, and synchronization, and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • Prepares and provides required reports, briefings, and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
  • Identifies program risks and creates opportunities to manage
  • Maximizes value by identifying additional business outcomes the platform allows.
  • Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources and develops business cases regarding enterprise business capabilities.
  • Establishes and presides over the CMDB governance and is involved in all governance components to ensure platform team alignment with the business strategy, roadmap, and policies.
  • Presides over design configuration decisions to ensure a seamless user experience that aligns with the platform design strategy.
  • Assesses business, technical, and architectural requirements.
  • Utilizes Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in the performance of duties.
  • Leads the planning of product releases and sets expectations for the delivery of new functionalities and platform upgrades.
  • Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences the product backlog based on business value or ROI.
  • Makes business decisions and communicates requirements through and stories to ensure they are aligned with platform / product strategy and understood by development team.
  • Works with vendors regarding services and service specifications.
  • Works collaboratively to meet enterprise's strategic vision.
  • Reviews related documentation to ensure compliance, and deliverables are met.
  • Manages the application development team supporting full end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Conducts related feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, planning and execution.
  • Monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Produces status reports for key stakeholders and end users.
  • Maintains program objectives, success measurements or key performance indicators (KPIs) and uses in-depth business knowledge to help business units develop strategy and find growth opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

Bachelor's Degree (minimum) or higher preferred

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates) :

  • Agile, PMP, or any project methodology certifications are highly desired
  • CSA and CIS ITSM highly recommended, additional CIS based on used modules
  • 6-8 years' experience with ServiceNow (e.g. as Solution Consultant)
  • Has a high-level view of the ServiceNow Platform, the different solution elements and how ServiceNow interacts with the surrounding IT landscape
  • Knows the concept and value proposition behind ServiceNow (e.g. Employee Experience, Out of the Box standards, Low / No Code approach)

Experience :

  • 8+ years of experience delivering cross-functional projects and leading software development teams.
  • Extensive knowledge base and experience on CMDB implementations within a hybrid cloud environment.
  • 5+ years ServiceNow Platform experience and CMDB and subject matter expert is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow integrations across IT landscape including
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to identify improvements.
  • PEO experience is Preferred but not required.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience managing medium scale programs
  • Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership for roadmap planning, organization, and project / process solutions
  • Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall
  • Strong background with various project management and collaboration tools (MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams, Service Now, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines
  • Ability to direct work, collaborate, and motivate and lead a team to support deadlines
  • Passionate about the client experience and customer facing needs
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management

The salary range for this role is $103,700 to $273,700. The candidate's final salary offer will be based on the candidate's skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate's compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet's corporate bonus plan.
