Position Overview :
- As the North American Director of Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations at 12 facilities and leading a team of 10 direct reports.
- Primary focus will be on asset care, total productive maintenance (TPM), risk management, and ensuring reliability.
- Create multi-year improvement plans for each site, implement the Asset Care Strategy, and standardize maintenance procedures across all locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and mentor the Maintenance and Reliability teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and TPM across all facilities.
- Implement network-wide reliability maintenance systems, establish and monitor SOPs, metrics, and KPIs.
- Perform thorough reviews of critical asset performance, address risks, and enhance operational efficiency and standards.
- Facilitate consolidated plant maintenance reviews and lead division-wide collaboration meetings to track KPI performance.
- Coordinate and manage multiple reliability improvement projects across the division.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations specific to the food industry, ensuring safety and operational standards are met.
Qualifications :
- BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering. Advanced degrees like an MBA, Masters, or Lean / Six-sigma certifications are highly preferred.
- 8 - 15 years of leadership experience in maintenance, reliability management, and asset care, preferably at the director level.
- Experience with automation in process and packaging equipment is essential.
- Demonstrated excellence in packaging, processing, project management, and LSS / TPM within food processing, chemical mixing, CPG, or high-speed packaging environments.
- Proven track record in coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing maintenance and reliability teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, contractors, and consultants.
- Ability to make sound decisions autonomously.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD, and SAP.
