Job Overview
PlanetArt is looking for a Graphic Designer to support the company’s Creative Department. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and enthusiastic print graphic designer with a passion for catalog layout and direct mail design.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working in print design, including developing engaging layouts for catalogs and marketing materials.
They should have a solid portfolio demonstrating strong branding skills, excellent typography, and aesthetic attention to detail.
Experience with product photography and image styling is a plus.
PLEASE NOTE : Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the (office) area as we operate on a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Design and layout print materials such as catalogs, direct mail pieces, and other marketing collateral.
- Create clean, engaging, and visually cohesive designs that align with the brand’s guidelines and aesthetic.
- Collaborate with the merchandising, marketing, and creative teams to ideate concepts for catalogs and direct mail campaigns.
- Help concept and plan product photo shoots to ensure imagery fits the catalog style and product focus.
- Style and manipulate imagery in Adobe Photoshop to enhance visual appeal and ensure consistency across catalogs.
- Work within tight deadlines to produce high-quality print materials ready for press.
- Stay current on design and print trends to keep catalogs fresh and engaging.
- Ensure accuracy and print readiness for all materials, working closely with printers and attending press checks.
- Proactively seek necessary information on project requirements to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
- Work closely with our photo studio to provide necessary direction and support, ensuring product photography aligns with brand standards and is completed on time.
What You Should Have
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in art, communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in print design, with a focus on catalogs and direct mail.
- Expertise in Adobe InDesign for catalog layout and print production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for photo manipulation and retouching.
- Strong typography skills, attention to color, layout, and design details.
- Experience with product photography, including concepting, styling and direction.
- A strong portfolio showcasing print design work, specifically catalogs and marketing materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines with high-quality results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.

- Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods : in-person, phone, WebEx, Slack, or email.
- May require occasional travel.
- This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).
Benefits
Compensation : $60,000 - $70,000 annual salary
