The Trust is forecasting further significant expansion overthe next two years following its appointment as a key partner inthe redevelopment of Gunnersbury Park as a sports hub and its moveto new larger purposebuilt premises directly adjacent to the newBrentford FC 17500 capacity stadium near Kew Bridge in2021.

MainPurpose ofJob
TheHead of Finance is responsible for leading the Finance Departmentof a rapidly growing Charity with exciting innovative expansionplans to drive income in excess of the current 4m and social impactvalue above 70m whilst managing expenditure in line with budget andmaintaining reserves to agreed Board target.
Reporting into the CEO you will collaborate andprovide input into the financial strategy to support theorganisations mission.
You will direct the finance team in theoperational functions of the department and provide continuousimprovement in processes to align with the ambitious growth of theorganisation.
Responsibilities
- LeadMentor and Develop the Finance Team.
- Deliverthe following reporting in a timely and efficient manner :
- Accurate monthly Financial Management accountsincluding succinct informative and action ledcommentary.
- Overall management of Trustexpenditure in line with tight Budgets and Forecasts providingvariance analysis and commentary based on regular review meetingswith Budget Owners.
- Production of AnnualBudget (plus half yearly reforecast) including a Summary Income andExpenditure statement supported by detailed assumptionshighlighting surplus / deficit on a project by project basis.
- Alongside budget production of Cashflowforecast Capital Expenditure budget and forecast reserves cover.
- Provide easy to understand engaging andsuccinct Quarterly Financial reports and present to the QuarterlyFinance Subcommittee and Board meetings focusing on KPIs includingcommentary on key metrics trends andvariances.
- Ensure theFinance Team engage with other departments and together with theSenior Leadership Team to deliver the Trusts objectives to increasefinancial awareness across the organisationby :
- Working with Budget Holders to understandand manage expenditure on a monthly basis and assist them withstrategy and pricing decisions to feed into the budgeting andreforecasting process.
- Evaluate and review newprojects and new funding applications of funding in a timely mannerproviding financial analysis asrequired.
- Provide Financial Analysis to supportregular monitoring reporting required byfunders.
- Drive KPIs to evaluate projects andprovide postproject analysis to evaluate and monitor the projectsprogress against theKPIs.
- Workwith Management and Trustees to develop a recently formed tradingsubsidiary which will become responsible for some existing and newrevenue streams.
This will require working with legal and taxadvisors as necessary.
- Manage the Trustsrelationship with external accountingproviders.
- Manage the annual Audit process inline with agreed timetable.
- Manage the Trustscashflow and Treasury facilities to optimise interest returns andensure that the Trust has adequate cash to fund its current andfuture commitments at alltimes.

- Provide support and guidance to staffmembers in understanding and adhering to safeguardingpolicies.

EssentialCriteria
- QualifiedACCA CIMA or ACA with a minimum 5 years of financial / commercial andteam management experience.
- Excellent businessacumen and commercial awareness gained in similar sizeorganisations or larger.
- Strong analyticalskills with a minimum 3 years relevant Financial BudgetingForecasting experience.
- Excellent attention todetail and ownership ofresponsibilities.
- Strong communication skillsboth written and oral with the ability to put yourself in the shoesof the receiver.
