Overview
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the inspection and auditing of the product and the process of building doors.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, they will participate in and support continuous improvement activities.
They will assist with new employee orientation and on the job quality training.
Responsibilities
- Participates in product and process audits
- Provides training and associated materials
- Supports continual improvement processes and activities
- Supports product and process development activities
- Provides technical support to quality and operations personnel to ensure production and quality goals of the facility are met
- Develops process documentation consistent with QMS requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or Associate Degree plus 2 years practical experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a quality capacity within a lean manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office programs including MS-Excel, and MS Word
- Six Sigma or Lean GB certification a plus.
- Certified Quality Auditor certification from ASQ highly desired.
