Required Experience : The Research Scientist evaluates and provides expert advice on the application of scientific principles and concepts.
The Research Scientist also maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, staying abreast of the scientific literature and conferences.
Additional experience is required in the following areas :
- Designs, develops, and executes scientific studies.
- Executes scientific studies.
- Applies scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products.
- May participate in development of intellectual property.
- Plans laboratory research.
- May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research.
Qualifications :
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics and 9+ years of experience or a Master's degree plus 6+ years of experience or a Ph.
D. Degree plus 4+ years of experience.
Security Clearance :
A background investigation is required.
